Johan Botha, born May 2nd, 1982 is a South African cricketer. He is specialist off spin bowler and lower order batsman. He represents Chevrolet Warriors at provincial level. He debuted in Test cricket against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground in January 2006 during the 2005-2006 tour, in which he played against acclaimed cricketer Mike Hussey. In 2010 after the announcement of Graeme Smith to resign Twenty20 captaincy, Botha who was his deputy got the opportunity of being new captain. He will also lead the team for One Day Internationals after Smith’s give up to its captaincy from ODIs. Botha also represents Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League.Wednesday, August 24, 2011
